Blog 2 Themes presentation-Gabriella Garcia

 Healthcare and education-Group 3

I like group 3 themes a lot and I wish I would have been in class and responded in person. Both of these topics are very important to us students. This is especially true when it comes to education. I really like that when they talked about healthcare they did not just talk about the benefits of free healthcare or the disadvantages. Rudy would also talk about the politics of free healthcare. There however was a sharp turn when the next person would present as there didn't seem to be a connection to what was said before. But I do like what Isabella presented as you could see it as a mix of both education and healthcare since psychotherapy is part of healthcare and many people who are in an educational setting might need this. Samantha was next to present and her topic was very interesting especially when you think of what has happened these past few years. Samantha knows the information very well, and when she would connect this again to politics like Rudy did it gives me a lot of information on how many politicians stand on a topic that is so important. Giuseppe would talk next and this information is very important to all of us since we are students in college. As much as I like his information he did read off the slides. Michelle would then talk about teacher shortages which is again important to us since we are students. I would have for her to expand on what she wrote and not just read off of the slide. Sofia would next talk about abortion which to me since I am a women is very important. Again I wish she would expand on her topic instead of just reading off of the slide. Nelta would talk next about gun control and her information was very impactful as like she said we hear so much violence happening everyday because of guns. Homeschooling would be the next topic by Vladimir, a topic I would not expect but it was interesting to learn on. Ramon would talk about education planning which again is very important to us students. Lastly, Rose would present and I really liked what she did. It was nice that she gave us extra resources on the information talked about in the presentation.

Law and Order with Immigration-Group 2

As this is my group and I am the one sharing the presentation, I am very sorry for all the technical difficulties I was having. Lilly would present first and I liked how she presented her information as she would expand on what she talked about. Really interesting how she didn't just talk about crime rates but different parts of it. I would talk next and I really liked learning more on this topic as I know many people who are immigrants, I myself am a child of immigrants. I tried to sneak in something from the chapters but I don't think I did it too well. I was also not being that fluent with the information as I usually have some notes next to me when I present something like this to help me talk. Bella would be next to present, her information was very interesting as we always hear about border portal but never really know much about it. Joseph would be next to present, he gave us the reason many people immigrate which some people may not know, which could be informational to them. Isaac would be the next person to present and I wish he was able to join us in class as the topic of these documents sounds like a conspiracy theory. Luis would also talk about immigration and his would also intertwined with mine as that was one of the reasons for the moving of migrants. Meylin would be next and again her information would coincide with what me and Luis wrote. It was also very interesting to learn what actually happens to these childrens. Alex would present a mix of the two themes given and give us very interesting information. Manuela would talk about D.A.C.A. next which I always wondered how it worked so it was very interesting to learn about this topic. Jose would talk about something very important that may happen to one of us at any time. It was interesting to hear the reason that this seems to be happening and who it is happening to too. All in all our presentation was good just a little all over the place because of me.

Racial divide and the economy-Group 1

I think that the group's themes seem to go hand in hand as we have seen throughout history. Esmeralda would give a great introduction to what would be talked about. Very nice that they would give the definitions of what is being talked about. They as a whole seem to be more put together than the other two groups. Really like how they did not just skim the surface with economy but other things it affects. Like how they would talk both about housing but also technology. This group also took it farther and even made a video compilation. They again dove deep into the topic and connected the two themes together and saw how race affected the economy. Very interesting on how they also talked about other places of the world. The videos in the presentation showed much information in a great way. This is especially true when it comes to the South African video. Very interesting to hear about the race information too. Very interesting to learn how the two sides see critical race theory. At the end of the presentation they would join these two topics and again like I said in the beginning how these two topics go hand in hand. But this wouldn't be the only time it did as throughout the presentation the two themes are intertwined. This group was very thorough with what they talked about as they gave a lot of information, graphs, and videos to show us and explain the information.
