  Group 3: Healthcare and Education.  Group three discussed both the advantages and disadvantages of it. The reduction of yearly deaths would be one advantage of free healthcare. According to a Harvard study, there are about 44,789 deaths each year that are directly related to healthcare access. Rudy Romero made this claim on one of the presentation's opening slides. It was beneficial that he brought up this topic in his presentation since it demonstrates how the American people are impacted by the lack of free healthcare. Whatever political party you are affiliated with, what matters is what you do to assist in resolving this problem.  Luis Contreras    There are so many controversial topics nowadays. For my SPC class, we were divided into groups and were given the task of researching some of these topics. All the groups had a couple of weeks to do their research. Once that time was up it was time to present. The order in which we were to present was Group Three first, Group Two second, and lastly Group One.   Healthcare and education-Group 3 I like group 3 themes a lot and I wish I would have been in class and responded in person. Both of these topics are very important to us students. This is especially true when it comes to education. I really like that when they talked about healthcare they did not just talk about the benefits of free healthcare or the disadvantages. Alexander Granados Communication is a valuable and critical strategy in our daily lives. As humans being, we must communicate with one another to pass a different point of view of information regarding many things that may be of interest. If communication didn’t exist we wouldn’t know how to understand the messages of other individuals. I believe that this class has made me realize how important it exchanges words in return for information with other people. As an example, I am a very open person, but I will and must say that communicating with other people is quite a challenge at first, especially those who do not know to have a conversation with others individuals. Isabella Sanchez Why Communication Is Important: 👇       Everyone's daily life revolves around communication, thus learning the many forms of communication is helpful. I hated public speaking and was quite shy before enrolling in my speech class. I now feel more comfortable expressing myself after witnessing everyone else's presentations and learning about the various components of communication. Jose Escobedo      As our society is moving towards a more globalized world, proper communication is more important than ever. In my opinion, being able to deal with people from all cultures and backgrounds has become important, and this means being able to communicate effectively across different cultures as well as cooperate in groups and problem solve together.     It is for these reasons why I hope to learn as much as I can from my introduction to speech and communication class, where it can help teach me a lot about how to properly express my view points to other people and to be effective as part of a larger group towards reaching our goals together.
